Defected Records and music legend Gilles Peterson will be collaborating on a very special ‘In the House' compilation.

Disc 1 is a house mix - the first he has EVER put together - & features tracks from Wahoo, Larry Heard, Nick Holder, Deetron, Mike Dunn & N'Dambi.

Disc 2 is a more traditional Gilles Peterson set of funk, soul, disco & jazz . Features tracks from Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Weldon Irvine, Idris Muhammad,Willie Hutch, Main Ingredient, Cerrone & Johnny Hammond.

Disc 3 finishes off the package with 10 super exclusive tracks specially commissioned by Gilles for this album featuring the likes of Kenny Dope, Osunlade, Peter Kruder, Carl Craig, Jazzanova, Switch and Dj Sneak.

Gilles Peterson is an influential DJ and record-label owner known for his eclectic selections that join the dots between musical styles & eras. Peterson has shaped tastes through an untiring crusade to spread the side of the dance music spectrum occupied by jazz, funk, soul, reggae, drum & bass, hip-hop, latin and house music. His record collection is so serious he keeps it in its own apartment known as Brownswood.

Peterson's ‘Worldwide' radio show on BBC Radio 1 is a weekly staple for music heads tuning in for anything from vintage folk to dubstep & is syndicated to radio stations all over the world. He also has British Airways in-flight entertainment shows and frequently gigs all over the world!
