With their new album In Ghost Colours still yet to be officially released, home-grown favourites Cut Copy have debuted at #1 on the Itunes Digital Album Chart on pre-release sales alone after 1 day. This news comes ahead of their much-awaited LP dropping in-stores this Saturday March 22.

New album, In Ghost Colours has been 4 years in the making and traverses genres effortlessly, from the epic sax-house anthem of Hearts On Fire, to the noisy blessed So Haunted & the hands in the air slammeth that is Lights & Music – the new single at media now.

For Cut Copy the album was an exercise in drawing parallels between favourites old and new and trying to find a meeting point in between. Recorded in NYC with DFA in-house guru Tim Goldsworthy, In Ghost Colours blends from the vocodered robo-pop of French house to prog's soaring harmonies to the texture of shoegaze and lands at some sort of trans-galactic intersection between these disparate planets.

 
Having absolutely smashed audiences minds supporting Daft Punk at the NEVEVERLAND shows and hot off the heels of rave reviews at the SxSW showcase, Cut Copy return home for the Australian release of ‘In Ghost Colours’ on March 22 and to take up their main stage slot at the V Festival in Sydney – Sat March 29th, Gold Coast - Sun March 30th, Melbourne - Sat April 5th & Perth - Sun April 6th.
