It’s a song in which Jessica admits that she is a slut and has a habit for ecstasy; after appearing in popular television series Summer Heights High, a remix of Naughty Girl co-produced by well known DJs such as Paul Mac has made its controversial debut on the Australian charts.

The track, which credits its artist as flamboyant drama teacher Mr G, has this week debuted at number seventeen on the Australian singles chart.

Only one single debuted higher (which belonged to Kelly Rowland), with the release having higher debuts on the top fifty than Chris Brown, and Australian acts Kate Alexa and Pnau. The song was the fourth highest selling of the week by an Australian artist.

Following the single’s airplay on the ARIA chart radio show, host Jabba jokingly said live on air that all complaints should be directed to Nova and provided a contact number. Around half a dozen bleeps were heard during the single’s two and a quarter minute airplay.

The high debut for the single is expected to renew support for Summer Heights High to return to the ABC for its second season.

Ratings proved to be consistent for the eight episode program during its premiere broadcast, averaging well over 1 million viewers weekly, making it one of the highest rating shows of 2007 for the ABC.
