In a week where a lot of the highlighted movement appeared to come from outside the top ten, Rihanna and Jack Johnson have retained their positions at the top of the Australian singles and album charts respectively.

The noted entries on the singles chart this week belonged to Kelly Rowland, who this week debuted at number eleven with her latest single Work, while controversial single Naughty Girl by Summer Heights High character Mr G debuted at seventeen.

Digital sales resulted in a disappointing debut for Kate Alexa, whose remake of the song Teardrops managed a moderate debut of twenty-eight. Despite the lower debut, the single was announced by ARIA as the seventh highest selling physical single of the week.

Although Jack Johnson successfully added another week to his album chart reign, the more acknowledged entry on the chart belonged to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, with their latest album Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! debuting at number two.

Also having acknowledgeable debuts were The Slim Dusty Family at fifteen with Reunion, while the Step Up 2 soundtrack debuted at twenty-seven.
