Rihanna and Chris Brown, two of the world's most popular and rising young R&B performers will perform two shows together in the New Zealand in October.
At just 20 years of age, Rihanna is a multi-platinum, MTV and Grammy Award winning artist shot to fame with her smash hit “Pon De Replay” back in 2005, which reached top 3 in most national charts around the worst. Her other hits include “Don't Stop the Music”, “Shut Up and Drive” and “Umbrella” – which has been remixed by the likes of Tegan and Sarah, Linkin Park, Mandy Moore and The Plain White T’s.
Rihanna will visit New Zealand for the first time along with Chris Brown, 19, rumoured to be her boyfriend. Brown is also a Grammy nominated singer, as well as a singer-songwriter, dancer and music video director in his own right. He made his debut in late 2005 with the massive hit “Run It” on his self-titled album at the age of 16.
Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is one of the most successful R&B artists of this decade, tying with Mariah Carey and Beyonce for the most number one hits, and she has plenty left in her.
In New Zealand, Rihanna has topped the charts with various singles, including Umbrella, Take A Bow and the current number one, Disturbia.
Rihanna and Chris Brown will appear at Auckland's Vector Arena on October 27, and at Wellington's TSB Arena on October 29.
Tickets are available from September 15.
