Cataloguing a definitive history of the UK’s most famous superclub, Ministry of Sound collate their biggest anthems from the last 16 years on the floor, bringing together the most influential moments in dance culture from around the word on 3 era defining CDs.

Spanning two decades of the hottest commercial dance and club tracks of the time, Ministry of Sound has been there every step of our musical journeys over that time. And doesn’t the music bring back memories. Whether it was through the early teens years, staying up and making mixed tapes off the radio, or through the late teens, sneaking into clubs underage and as we grew through our early 20s, sharing the latest club track with a love one on a dark dance floor, or singing along at the top of our lungs as we raced down the freeway to our next destination.

The 3 disc compilation itself traces back to the birth of Ministry of Sound in 1991 with early club classics from Gat Decor’s ‘Passion’, Ken Doh ‘Nakasaki’, and Sandy B ‘Make The World Go Round’. It ventures through to the underground rave days of the early 90s, from Old Skool and acid house classics including Tim Deluxe ‘Double 99 Rip Groove’, Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’ and Josh Wink’s ‘Higher State of Consciousness’, to the heady days of Trance in the late 90s, from Zombie Nation’s ‘Kernkraft 400’, Three Drives ‘Greece 2000’ (my goodness was I obsessed with this song!), ATB’S ‘9pm (Till I Come)’ right through to the 00’ties, from Eric Prydz’s phenomenal ‘Call On Me’ (although I might need a few years to get over this one yet!), to StoneBridge’s beautiful ‘Put Em High’, and Fedde Le Grand’s recent Top 10 hit ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’.

With 3 CDs of pure dance classics, every single track on the album is a guaranteed anthem, songs that will live on forever. Songs such from the likes of Faithless (God Is A DJ), Basement Jaxx (Red Alert), The Prodigy (Everyone In The Place (155 And Rising)) and Fatboy Slim (Praise You), and Armand Van Helden (You Don’t Know Me) true dance legends in their own right.
