Somewhere In The Real World Achieves Gold Status

You could say it has been a perfect return for Australian singer/songwriter Vanessa Amorosi, as today the accolades kept flowing. Vanessa’s soulful, heartfelt hit single “Perfect” reached the top position of the National Airplay Chart (The Music Network, 20^th June 2008) to become the most played song on Australian radio. “Perfect” also climbed to a new peak on the Motorola ARIA Singles Chart this week to #4 as well as achieving Gold status.

Another feat for Vanessa today was that her album Somewhere In The Real World surpassed Gold sales. It was evident that Vanessa’s fans were eager for her highly anticipated album as it debuted at #4 on the Motorola ARIA Album Chart and still resides in the top 10 after four weeks.

Vanessa will be hitting the road and doing what she loves and does best, performing live. Her upcoming shows will be one of the first times that her fans will be able to witness Vanessa’s new rock infused soul sound as she performs tracks from her Gold album Somewhere In The Real World.
