Named International Music Artist Of The Year at the MTV Australia Awards in 2008, Timbaland rocketed to #1 on the album charts there with Timbaland Presents Shock Value. The single “Apologize” (featuring OneRepublic) took the top spot for eight consecutive weeks, earned double platinum honors and became the most downloaded single of all time. The track also hit #1 for seven straight weeks in New Zealand, where it was certified platinum. The album reached #4 and double platinum in that country.

Other hits from the album include “The Way I Are” (featuring Keri Hilson and D.O.E.), which soared to #1 in Australia/#2 New Zealand; “Give It To Me” (featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado) (#16 Australia/#2 New Zealand), “Scream” (featuring Keri Hilson and Nicole Scherzinger) (#20 Australia/#15 New Zealand), and “Throw It On Me” (featuring The Hives) (Top 50 Australia).

In the U.S., Timbaland Presents Shock Value debuted at #5 and is platinum-plus. “Apologize” has been certified triple platinum after charting in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for 25 weeks, the longest for any song of the 2000s. Timbaland Presents Shock Value (Blackground/Interscope/Mosley Music Group) is his first solo album.

The most significant creative force today in popular music, Timbaland was Grammy nominated in 2008 for Producer of the Year. Along with his own headlining hits, he has most recently been responsible for smashes from some of the biggest artists in the world, including Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Rihanna, Madonna, and Missy Elliott.
