Missy Higgins will return to the US with her #1 Australian album “On A Clear Night,” due for release on February 26, 2008.   Before Missy hits the road in the US, she will make two appearances at The Sundance Film Festival, performing at a very special live-music event titled “Where Music Meets Film” celebrating the enduring connection between music and film alongside artists such as Josh Groban, Jason Mraz and Michelle Branch. 

“Where I Stood” has already been featured prominently on hit US television shows Smallville and on Grey’s Anatomy. Both shows have been pivotal in breaking new artists in the US market over the years. “Where I Stood” will also feature in One Tree Hill, the episode is set to air to millions in America on January 29^th.

Missy’s music is also already receiving serious support from influential L.A. tastemaker Nic Harcourt via his “Morning Becomes Eclectic” program on KCRW. This is also helping build anticipation for the stateside release of “On A Clear Night” in February.   Cities like San Francisco, San Diego, and Minneapolis have already added “Where I Stood” a month before release.

“On A Clear Night” has already been certified triple platinum in Australia and last week ARIA revealed it was the top selling Australian Album of the year. 2007 saw Missy awarded the ARIA Award for “Best Female Artist”.

Missy’s live shows have been pivotal in establishing her fanbase both in Australia and around the world. Missy hits the road in North America with more dates to follow:
